How much roughly do new motherboards cost? i wouldn't know because every pc i have had the motherboard has never gone.

Also what are the signs that a motherboard is bust etc?

£25.00 UP TO £200.00. Depends what you want do do with it , your CPU , memory etc,physical size of the case.

PC chips ones from ebuyer are about as cheap as it gets. If this is to do with your post about your ebay computer that was making noises and not working then I would not get a new board just yet, sounds like a fan problem, take the side off and see if the procesor fan is spinning corrctly before you start replascing stuff.

May I suggest looking on ebay, they do some great motherboards for £2.50 that fail after 3 days.
Alternatively (depending upon specifiaction) you can go to a local computer shop and buy one for £40 or so that will come with a warranty. I do reccomend however instead of trying to fix this yourself, you get someone to check the computer over for you who knows what they are doing, such as your local computer shop.
