Can't be doing the owls reputation too much good with the broadcasters, two live tv cup matches now where they've shown a lack of respect to the competition and their own fans.
Certainly feel sympathy for the owls fans who travelled there thinking their manager had any respect for them - he might as well have just told the fans not to bother going up there, as it's all a waste of time.
Presumably though Manderic and Megson will do the decent thing and refund out of their own pockets the ticket money of those who made the effort tonight...?
If they're still in this league next season, can't they just withdraw from the JPT?
It is weird though that this rule applies to the JPT, but not the League Cup or FA Cup... scared of the big teams I suppose...?
Good to hear a couple of the blades youngsters getting on the scoresheet tonight and another away win - if nothing else, a win on the road at last for the owls would've been something to have aimed for tonight?

Not disrespectful at all,he has the long term future of the club at heart,no more and no less than what managers do these days, look what the premiership clubs do in the FA cup

I think you are right in some of the above, looks like megson thinks the jpt is a distraction more than attraction

I agree with you, but I'm not the FA. If they think that he's used his substitutions in such a way as to circumvent their rule, they can charge him.

But does it specify starting line up from the previous league game, or "regular" starting line up?

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you were saying that at least six of tonight's players had to come from the starting line up.

Once again smegson has proved himself a scummy fool with no regards for the true fans, those that spent their hard earned making the trip tonight.
He's an utter disgrace.

At the end of the day the only ones who could hold a grudge for Megson's decision last night are the fans who purchased tickets to go to Bradford!.
As said Wednesday broke no rules and simply did what they had to in ord to keep players fresh for their own requirtements, as no rules were broken it's hard for neutrals or The F.A to have a problem with it as in theory they've done nothing wrong.
As said they only people I feel slightly sorry for are the travelling fans, they paid good money to travel to Bradford in hope of watching an Owls win, by doing what he has done in theory Megson has insulted these fans......he either deemed the second stringers good enough to see off Bradford or genuinely didn't care about the JPT or the travelling fans and needs to issue them an apology.
As more tasteful way to go about business might have been to make the changes at half time I think.

I think meggy did the right thing by the club, had we got semedo sent off and or prutton broke a limb, then all the owls fans would have been fuming,we had a long run in the jpt last season and picked a few knocks and cards up.
Disrespectfull it may have been, tactically it was the right decision

Not really because in all fairness we will do well to get anything at charlton granted.

Totally agree. What worried me though was the fact that Megson said in the post match interview that he thought the 16 year old centre back, Obileye, had a good game!!!!!
