Sorry to start yet ANOTHER thread about the Tories. (Although it will give you a chance to hurl more insults) But it has just been announced that Cameron has been defeated in his pledge to bring torturing foxes for fun back.

I know many people feel as strongly as me about this and will be overjoyed that Cameron's sick sadistic bully buddies have been defeated.

I'm guessing his decision to be FOR fox hunting will be political, either way i'm happy it's been overturned I have no love for the farming industry and less for it's stance on killing anything that allegedly poses a threat to it's livelihood. As for the sicko's on horseback chasing the poor buggers, well.....

why don't we bring our troops back from Afghanistan and Iraq, and send the toffs to fight our wars instead?

Great news. Hopefully this barbarism will now be gone forever.

From the link.

David Cameron’s pledge to hold a free vote on restoring fox-hunting was last night declared ‘dead and buried’ by a new breed of modernising Tory MPs.

The so-called Blue Fox group of ambitious young urban Tories boasted that they had finally killed off any prospect of a Commons vote on reviving bloodsports before the next Election.
So, those bloody barbaric Tories eh Keith?

Don't worry Keith only cherry picks which part of the story fits in with his own agenda and doesn't give you the full story.

I doubt the OP has even read the article, since the whole story is about disagreements on the Tory back benches, with some Tory MPs signalling they would vote against repealing the ban. Their vote together with Labour and Lib Dems would likely see it defeated, so the move by these Tory 'Blue Foxes' is to try to prevent the free vote taking place at all, since the government would be unlikely to even hold one if they knew they would lose it.

Still, don't let that get in the way of the OPs ill informed rant.

What, and you mean nobody else does, MPs included?

Isn’t it strange how the Tory intelligentsia can never discuss an issue but prefer to sling insults instead. (As I predicted at the beginning of this thread)

Any decent person would be glad that Cameron had been defeated on bringing back this horrible cruelty but no…much more important to sling an insult at the messenger.

Sad…very sad people.

A government cannot lose a free vote, by definition. A free vote is one in which the government does not actively support one side or the other.

Not really. My insults are aimed at the government who are fair game. But are you glad fox hunting is not to be brought back?

If you think that insults are acceptable, then you are also fair game. Anything else is special pleading.

Does anyone recall the support that the hunt saboteurs received on this forum for getting the Boxing Day Drag Hunt meet in Bakewell town centre cancelled?
