I think you're wrong, and there's far too many managers get the boot far too soon.
Already i've seen a big improvement, for a start last seasons lot would never have chased a lost ball, and the players he's brought in are better than we've had for a while.
It's very early days, we have quite a few new additions and it will take time to gel, we'll be reyt mate, give it til Christmas to make a reasoned view of things.

So you had writen him off as a failure before he had even started

I don't get it he's Wednesday through and through, proven experiance, yet I get the impression you can't wait for him to fail.

Mid table at best - What do you base this opinion on?

West Brom? Bolton?

Out of interest do you go to many matches? Do you not think the team has improved from last year?

My ex fella doesnt hold much hope for this season either and he is a die hard Wednesday supporter.....its all doom and gloom with him at the mo - think he needs a snap outta of it. Its just the start of the season! Doesnt help that we are winning either so he can't rub it in - do I rub it in that we are ----- noooooooooo not at all lol

Forest aside he's had relative sucess at both, and managed at the top flight.

Regardless.. atleast give him a chance and get behind him, he wants success as much as any one of us. Just dont see the need for such negative attitude towards him.

Also Semedo/ Prutton not an improvement over O'Conner/Potter?
Bennett no better than Spurr?
Baath/Jones no better than Purse/Beevers?

I would much rather we played crap now so we can see where we can put things right early on, than be in a false position thinking everything is rosy, like we did for the first month or so of last season.

A Brummie mate of mine says Megson is one of the best managers they have had while he has been watching them , He was gutted when the ginger one left.
He also remembers with affection how Megi stood his corner in the battle of Bramall Lane .
P.S. Megson may have been born in Manchester but he was brought up in Sheffield and was at school here.
He has also always lived here so he is a honorary Sheffielder unlike another well known ex Sheffield manager who has done a Parkinson and likes to talk about his roots from afar.
