Visited Mcdonals today to buy a milkshake not knowing what i would find inside. As im drinking it i have found a hair. I have now gone back to Mcdonalds to speak to a manager and he claims "its one of them things that occurs" it like are you for serious. he has then try giving me a refund and for me to forget about it. When i asked him for his name to complain this is his views "im leaving tommoro so complain if you want" and other sarcy comments. I didnt expect this from Mcdonalds since then i have had a bad stomach pains.I have written a complaint to Mcdonalds,

What are your opinions? should i forward this to the media and try to sue Mcdonalds for the hair?
Now i have to take time of work to go see my doctor

I think a refund seems fair enough for finding a hair in a milkshake.

Not like you found a slug in a bottle of lemonade is it?

Go ahead and sue them.

But promise to come back on here and tell us how much it has cost you when you lose the case, eh?

Plonker.

I'm sorry to say but I think you should definately see your doctor. But not over the hair, over the other issues you seem to have.

Sue McDonalds over a hair - are you for real?? If it was a pubic hair then fine, but its not so get a grip. Take your refund, and keep quiet. If you send that story to the media, you'd probably get an invoice back for wasting their time.

i once found an eye liner pencil in my cheeseburger at burger king. i didn't whine and complain and expect a refund/compensation etc, i had a bit of a laugh with the server, they gave me another one, i ate it, and i got on with my day.

I find it utterly astonishing that sheffield7 and people like her are so lacking in education that they think that nasty overprised fast food places like KFC and Macdonalds are resteraunts.
Please do us all a favour and go out to a proper resteraunt and taste some real food and service from a waiter. then you can complain about getting a "hair in your food".

Do you mean "over-priced"....and...."restaurants"? Best not bang on about others' lack of education and then flaunt your own, eh?

In fairness to the OP, they didn't use the word restaurant.

Why?

Now I know why a packet of peanuts contains the warning: 'May contain nuts' on its packaging...,

That's correct, but Macdonalds certainly do in their advertising, when it clearly is not. No crockery, waiters or anything you would find in an actual restaurant.

I feel you are missing or maybe AVOIDING the point on purpose...

What I say about education is the kind of education you should recieve from your parents when they take you out to eat in nice resteraunts, sampling all kinds of nice food from great chefs.

This is certainly something that I was thoroughly introduced to as a child as part of my upbringing. And I have noticed in adult life that many of my friends didn't have this, and as a consequence do not know the correct ways to behave in a proper restaurant, and some people find it an ordeal because they did not have any familiarity with eating out in nice places.

So why have a pop at the OP (and their standard of education) when they never claimed Maccy Dee's was a restaurant in the first place?
