I have no idea why this song makes me cry... But it really really does

Its about someone whose Sister has died. Its not even like I can relate to it, my Sister is right here beside me, pestering me... But still, it never fails to turn on my waterworks... (and I don't cry easily, for that matter!)

It's Brandy - Missing you

The Living Years - definately, such an amazing song!

With or Without You usually gets me close to tears, not as much as it used to though - I must be growing

Its about a son who wants his dad to be alive so he can dance with his mother again because he can't stand to see her broken heart. Quite sad really and should pull at the heart strings but it just annoys me too really !

Hurt, by Johnny Cash - but I don't think it's exactly meant to be cheerful

I know what you mean though, I've been touched like that by some music you wouldn't really expect... In fact, Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits, that's what I was thinking of! Think it's because it's about these amazingly talented jazz musicians who dedicate their whole life to their art and still play little pubs where no one listens or cares

Jeff Buckley - Halleluja
(Not so much the lyrics, just everything about it)

....

As for JCB song - I personally dont like it, but i appreciate why people do. The song portrays the innocence of a 5 year old so so well!

Think I'd better leave right now, by Will Young. It means absolutely NOTHING to me whatsoever, but I end up in floods every time I hear it.

Could be because I've felt like that before...

Mm that one does it for me as well as it came out at a time when someone who was very important to me, decided we'd stop doing the half friends/half couple thing, promptly moved to London and got himself a girlfriend. Just seemed to be on the radio all the time at that point.

Also Bright Eyes cos i'm a soppy cow for a sad animal film.

Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits.

I normally dont like D.S. but my ex used to play this after an intimate moment and it has become so full of meaning now that I cant bear to listen to it.
