Private Party cancelled at Bar 360

Really disappointed that our private party booking at Bar 360 has been cancelled with just a few weeks to go. I booked it ages ago and paid a deposit but now the manager has cancelled all bookings. Really disappointed especially as invites have been sent out and not much chance of finding another venue at such short notice.

Anybody know what the problem is at Bar 360?

More importantly any suggestions for a city centre venue?

Probably wouldn't be open in a few weeks anyway. The place is always dead. What sort of venue are you looking for? Could give alibi a try or even g casino?

here is a party venue/ room hire megathread somewhere around here which will have a few suggestions on it. Tulip lounge? Stars and Mayfair? Sorry can't think of any more- brain not woke up yet

have you read their rediculous T&C's......hope they gave you 3 weeks notice too!!
suffice to say their website is still running......

Have they gone bust? That unit has never been a success since it was built, whatever it's been. Superficially it seems like a good location, but everyone just walks round it rather than going in.

A major coffee chain or a thoughtful independent one could probably make a go of it.

I agree, the bar is independent but it just isn't a particularly nice place inside.

A coffee shop would do very well there, or something like Nosh that is on Division St a bit further up.

You would have thought that somewhee not doing very well would want to encourage and fulfil as many bookings as possible not be cancelling them at short notice.

Did they give a reason? There are lots of other places nearby who I'm sure would appreciate your custom. Yes agree with the hidden bar at Vodka rev.

Been in there once, didn't like the place, probably won't ever go back.
That doesn't help the OP though... If it's going to be open you could still just turn up for your party, you'd be practically the only people there anyway.

I used to partner up with Bar 360 and do some performances down there, til last year when I was taken advantage of to the maximum!!! I like how the 'Bar360' SF member profile has yet to comment on this thread! Shameful!!

I walked past it on Friday night at about 9pm and it was locked up closed. If it's not open Friday night then I would have thought something is wrong. Maybe it has closed down?
