Do you have any examples of graphics in a game or film or even TV which you really enjoy looking at?

I absolutely love the air combat scenes in The Sky Crawlers, some of the most impressive CG I've seen. http://youtu.be/IvRFl0raLZc http://youtu.be/FDcpm1GVAiA Well worth a watch that movie btw.

I was also always pretty awestruck by the NY cutscene in World in Conflict. http://youtu.be/WOK7r1pa74M

As for in game GFX, I think GT5 are still some of the best I've seen, despite a few glitches. http://youtu.be/kWg-UTeL6-k

Uncharted 2. http://youtu.be/3WqNMgdzzjU

ARMA II. http://youtu.be/H_41u9dQuI8

FSX. http://vimeo.com/21399419

Silent Hunter IV (alright SHV graphics are better but the game's a bit meh compared to IV). http://youtu.be/Th5RAcB8cqw

For films it would have to be:
TRON (the original) - it was groundbreaking for the time.
TRON Legacy (obviously!)
Matrix Trilogy

For Anime then I was gobsmacked when a Japanese visitor left Advent Children (Final Fantasy VII spin-off) in the wastebasket - one of the male 'actors' looked lifelike - Mattel's Barbie spin-offs have got a lot to catch up to! (And no I don't have a Ken Doll!)

Computer films that impress me were: Blue (Boy dreaming about his drawn robot) on cover of PC Format a few years back, and the GNU/Linux films -

Elephant's dream: http://www.elephantsdream.org/

and Big Buck Bunny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE7Vz...eature=related

That last post by manofstrad has reminded me of a robot tramping outside Sheffield Town Hall that came on a Videogame with the last nVidia graphics I purchased for the main machine!

Gears of War was a stand out moment for me, the "Roadie run" in particular.

The Assassin's Creed series. The first time I saw Damascus sprawling before me was jaw-dropping.
