Can you buy a car while you gave a motability car?

Hi people.

I currently have a motability car but I've been thinking of buying a car and doing it up how I'd like ready for when the motabity contract is over.

I just wondered if anyone knows if you can own another car while having a motability car?

I've tried calling them 3 times today but it just keeps saying busy

Didn't think motability cars expired, just thought they were changed after 3 years

Yes you can but you will only get mobility tax etc on the mobility car.

Im sure your aware you can exstend existing vehicle to 5 year now as well.

You can also make them a offer for vehicle at the end of the contract if you wanted to do so.My mates always got his mate to purchase his afterwards.Not sure how he,s arranged that though.

If you choose to buy a second car it will have no effect at all on the one you currently have from Motability. The only problem (which isn't a problem if you're wealthy) is having to pay for it.
