Hi all

Not sure if anybody can help with my query but at the end of my garden behing my fences there is some small shrubs and I want to buy this land depending on who own the land, on the other side of the road the houses are owned by an housing association so not sure if they actually own it as their garden people seem to maintain the shrubs.

Does anybody have any advice who I can contact to try and purchase this land.

Contact the Housing Association initially, it won't cost anything.

If they don't own it you can find the registered owner through the land registry. You will have to pay, not sure how much it is.

It's £4 to buy (online) a copy of the ownership details from HMLR.

BUT can the land be defined by words? If not:
a. you'll need a plan to show HMLR the area that interests you;
b. you'll need an Index Map Search (form SIM) too, @ £5; and
c. the application will have to be by post.
