It's a hot topic and national/international news. So why can't this forum debate a ban?

You can AFAIK, it's not against any forum rule.

Beacuse people start to get personal and abusive rather than debate the argument. Then it descends to critising their spelling and grammar when they're losing the argument. I'm surprised it doesn't descent to "my dad's bigger than your dad".

Who says that we cannot debate a ban?

I think that is reserved for the footy section.

What about them burkha wearers who come cycling over here on buses, stealing our jobs whilst on benefits?

What does this even mean? Presumably the opposite would be being against an entire religion and make you a bigot?

Probably stealing our women as well, presumably by turning them lesbian using their mysteriousness (hidden behind a burkha). It's not right I tells ya, won't someone think of the children.

We have no issue with a debate about anything, but whether the thread stays open and on the forum depends on HOW it's debated.

We aren't prepared to allow a discussion of a burqa ban to turn into a racist rant, spouted bigotry or into a selection of arguments including insulting other forum users though, and that's what previous threads about this have become.

As a private forum we are under no obligation to allow any thread to remain and we reserve the right to remove posts and threads without warning.

And with your answer, which is a very odd one for a brand new user, I'll close this.
