Virgin media does have it's slow periods - have it through the phoneline. Not restricted? Pah! Slow after work, loads faster late night/early morning!

Virgin Media is not as good as they market it to be. I was on 20Mb which only measured 2.0Mb in the evening and around 9.0Mb in the daytime.

Key words "up to" in the marketing!

Did I mention I was on 20Mb. If I was on 10Mb I would expect "up to 10Mb".

Virgin are well aware of upload speed for gaming. When I spoke to the Malaysian Reps they kept talking about Download, even after I explained that when you game you need Upload Speed and when you Download music/videos you need Download Speed. Funny how all of a sudden they have a gaming package with 3.0Mb Upload now. Beefing Fastards.

Well after months of the techs playing ignorant, I downgraded to 10.0Mb and now get a nice smooth 7.0Mb 80% of the time, better than 20.0Mb and only getting 2.0Mb to 6.0Mb. Its funny how some people defend thier tactics, they are the one that would happily buy 20 ciggarettes and not mind if there was only 7 in the box.

I've only been with Virgin for 6 weeks (30mb) most of the time even watching Iplayer on the ps3 is a chore.
Rang them last night when my speed was 0.02mbs and apparently it's not going to be fixed until 22nd of June.

We had tv and internet issues for a while. I called em up, some guy came out, and look at the box down the street that connects all the houses. He did something and that sorted it. You should try this.

We insisted someone come out and have a look at the wiring, they sent someone and he did some kind of jiggery-pokery with the box down the road and everythign was super after that, I think it was a loose connection or something.

We did that, then the phone rang, and they asked for someone I didn't know. Then I called my OH and he asked where I was, as the number that came up wasn't our house phone. He was the paranoid type, and actually thought he'd caught me at something

Then I kept getting voicemails for other people, and when I tried to ring my number, someone else answered...

While playing with the box, the engineer had somehow managed to switch around ours and all the neighbour's phone lines

Aye, exactly. Cos apparently, its their box/internet so they have to come out and fix it for you on an individual basis.
