Attercliffe, Darnall, Tinsley and Wincobank still have many working steel industries with them banging and clattering all hours. i am making a short film of the sights and sounds of the area so if you know of any places of interest in the area please let me know.

I am first looking at the Firth Rixon River Don Stamping Works with their loud thumping noise during the early hours and the red sky effect from Outu Kumpu's slag dumping.

Don't use a decent video camera to film whilst there, you'll probably get knifed or shot for it.

It's a multiculturist area though, lots of different styles of shops.

Wow, only 8 minutes before this thread turned into a slag off Sheffield's East end area and it's population.

Please stop it now because you're very boring!

* Update - some of the posts I was referring to have now been removed *

I live on one of the roads off jenkin and overlook forgemaster, I love the sound of the steelworks at night and the sights are actually quite nice.

When i used to live in brindsworth we used to walk to the top of the field near the airport you get an awesome view of the outokumpu slag plant.

nice really that sheffield still has this.

If you want to film i would recommend going to the top of jenkin road and there is a footpath up, it brings you to the top of a field with an awesome view of all the steelworks including the airport. This is the one on the left as you go over top of jenkin not the small field on the right.
