Any one missing a gnarly looking dog in S5? It's currently trying to bone next doors pit bull but with no joy as there are bars between them. It looks like a cross between a boxer and staffy. You wouldn't go near it by the look of it or if you dont know dogs or if you value your life and that but it's actually quite gentle and it's not bothing my cats. It's not got a collar on or had the snip. But someone must be missing it, it's in good nick and that. Poor thing it's been here since miday. Dont want to call RSPCA or anything incase they put it down or something. But I can't imagine it being safe on the streets.

Ironically its probably having the time of its life roaming free. I know many of these cross breeds have a rotten life in the wrong hands. Hope it gets a decent loving home.

Sounds like your neighbours dog may be in season, if so it won't be going home any time soon
As said ring the dog warden for the dogs own safety, there might be quite a gang of them soon humping and scrapping if it really is in season

Normal everyday behaviour in S5 then. Sorry, couldn't resist!

Yes and all of the type that can't get homes once they get there as well, it really is a shame, best not to let things get that far.

Let it be, it's free. Just wondered if anyone is missing their dog thats all. Pipe down spotty I wont let it do anything it will do what it wants. There is just as much chance the dog will get run over as there is my cats and all the other cats and dogs out there roaming the streets. Obviously if it's still there tomorrow I'll try other options.

Woah thats rite good thank you Moonbird. I want the dog but me missis wont let me. Tomorrow I'd spned £200 on it and arrange for the snip and to be stabbed with all the vacs and that. She's like what about our cats this that and the other. I think more like the cats would pick on the dog as its soft as a brush as our cats (2) are proper nuts. At the end of the day it wouldn't be fair on the dog with us both working all day think thats why we got cats. Anyway thank you for that. It would be nice to find it's owner, I give it till tomorrow. Poor little mut

Aww its nice that you care about it a lot would think differently
It would be nice to find its owner, I'm sure it will have one, if its still there tomorrow you could try taking it to a vet to check for a microchip...you never know it could have got one then you will know who he belongs to and can take him home.

Can i just clarify, RSPCA do not deal with stray dogs, they do not have a stray boarding licence, only the local authority carry this. However if the dog is injured, they will collect and transfer to a vet, for treatment, they would NOT be putting someone's dog to sleep!!!!!

Alright calm down
Not everyone knows what the various agencies do with strays and there are a lot of misunderstandings and tales floating around from the "good old days" people just don't know until they are told, surely thats what this group is all about providing accurate help and information (amongst other things of course).
Just tell people what they need to know, no need to get upset about it
