having just been watching the snooker, i was asked by my mum if there was a reason the players no longer drink alcohol while players.... does anyone know if this is due to an official rule or wether its down to them simplying wantin to be in the best condition to win?

Didn't he blame it on a nervous condition, he needed 20 pints of lager to steady his cuing arm.

Most people wouldn't be able to stand up after 20 pints of normal strength beer, it's a huge amount even if drunk throughout the day.
