I had a phone call this evening from a foreign lady saying she was calling on behalf of microsoft.well she said there was a problem with my computer and that i had to go on there web page to sort the problem out.I knew for a fact it was a scam and told her you think am stupid or something.but she insisted they were calling on behalf of them.i asked her for the company name and told me they were called HELP.CO.UK yer right love and am father xmas i told her.I told her what i thought of her and the company you can guess what i said i did swear a little at her.anyway i did a google search and found out this from last year.so please warn people about it and if you have a facebook page put it on there to warn other people.thankyou lets stop these idiots.

Surely the address from where they operate can be found, then all it takes is a cruise missile...............

Hi,

Just to let you know being ex directory doesn't make a difference.

Companies sell your details on, you need to register for telephone preferance service but even that won't stop the foreign ones.

Watch out for people offering mobile phone / iPad insurance also. People are getting numbers for new phones, calling owners, offering "insurance" and taking money for this insurance which doesn't actually exist if you try to claim.

Contact your telephone company. They should tell you if you are ex-directory.

I had one yesterday, couldn't understand a word she said except microsoft and my computer had bugs. I asked her "what opperating system I was using, if your from microsoft you should know" I then told her to go away in a not so polite manner.
If your trying to run a scam like this, employ someone who speaks english that everyone would understand.
