We really are at one of the lowest points in our history, just hope we can avoid relegation (if we do get dragged downwards i'm not confident we will) and rebuild.

I take it that you didn't see him play then.

He was fantastic. The third best player I ever saw in a Wednesday shirt. (Not counting Peter Sissons)

If we don't, it will be because there are even worse teams around. I can't see how we are going to win another game. The entire squad looks shot.

I saw told Gerald playing not so long back in Holland, he was a strange player.

He's not in my top three either. I loved watching him though, because he had the capacity to go from parks player to genius in two seconds.

He was a strange player indeed, when he first arrived he was second string to the awful De Bilde, looked totally clueless and couldnt control a ball to save his life. Later on he sort of came good (at a lower level) and scored some fantastic goals.

Same here, i said a few weeks ago Wednesday would struggle and its coming to fruition now.
You can not expect players to have the passion to play 100% when they are either on loan or have just come to the club, it just doesn't happen.
The team got dismantled too quick after relegation, keeping the players which went through that might well have stood Wednesday in good stead.
As a football player myself if i have failed i always wanted to correct it, something you would expect of a player who has just been relegated with a club.
Too many harsh decisons for me through the season.

Corker mate, isnt that like saying, keep the current shoddy bunch and hoping they can correct this awful season??

The consensus is that a clearout will happen in the summer but by your logic that would be a bad thing??

Di Canio was at West Ham for 4 years that's why he did better, he was only at Wednesday for 2 years.
If you look at the stats they actually weigh up in Wednesdays favour.

1997–1999 Sheffield Wednesday 41 (23)
1999–2003 West Ham United 118 (48

Isnt this season a prime example of not breaking a team up too much, what have we achieved by doing it?
Please enlighten me but Wednesday are in serious trouble.

it is but we definately need a clear out this summer. i've said from the start of the season the midfield was lightweight. pay potter and sedgewick off, release jj and o'conner and take it from there. even heff struggles to make an impact unless he comes off the bench

I'm on about the begining of the season and the middle more than owt, some of the players in our first team are stupid, none of us have heard of them and know anything about them, something which is bloody daft when your spending and spending watching these so called "Wednesday players".
