Seems SWFC are on the verge of agreeing a loan deal for a striker and a defender from west ham united.

When I read title thought it was to go with the paintbrushes from tother season.
Benni was a decent striker though but not heard of him for ages, don't know too much about the other.

Megson in talks with the above two players, whether it's rumours or true, gotta say I'd be well chuffed if we got em both.

llunga was wanted by Benitez & Monaco, he's played in the champions league for tolouse and is about 25/26 I think. They haven't been getting any first team footy for the Hammers recently and would be a great couple of signings if we got them both.

Ilunga was fantastic when we first got him (on a season loan).
Then, typically with us & injuries, after buying him he got injured long-term ... came back and was a shadow. Hence us having to get Wayne Bridge.

Get his form/confidence/belief back and he's a top left back.

Nah, he sounds just the kind of player Mugson would go for We're already carrying enough over the hill/round the bend players as it is, without needing another passenger like Benni!

Can ya tell im not keen
If your club offers you a million quid to sling yer hook,im afraid your not very good.
Dont get me wrong,he was a great player, about 5 YEARS AGO!!!when he was banging in goals.
Think...well i hope! were looking to the future,we need pace, not names looking for a last pay off

Spot on there - and if you need further persuading he's not for you, remember old Franny Jeffers scored loads of goals in the past, and he wasn't exactly David Hirst for you was he...
