What are the best Gym's in sheffield for price/facilities??
And how much are the memberships??
And also, anyone know where any Weight Gain can be bought in a shop in Sheffield??

i use greens behind eccy road, and depending when you go the price varies!!! i find it a brilliant gym with excellent facilities

I use Tithe Barn Gym in Woodhouse. It's full of grunting men, but its cheap and friendly and sells weight gain, protein etc etc.

bodybuilding shop at bottom of the moor can give you suppliments and weight gain..although the better gyms stock them on site.

i go to evolution at westfield..... i say i go... av been busy..6months left and i dont see me going again!!..

anyways its 27 quid a month if i remember correctly.

Try this thread it'll help you find a good gym.

Fitness Unlimited is probably the best to go for.

I'm a member of Fitness First, purely because it has loads of equipment to get my fitness to 100%, and also a steam room and sauna.

If you're looking for a good free-weight type gym, Quarkes (sp) in Wincobank is good, I used to go there quite a bit.

virgin gym is good, around £40 a month for life membership, stop class facilities and excercise equiptment, aswell as sauna, steamroom etc.

are there any good gym's in the city centre? i've seen one next to the winter gardens, quite small wondered if anyone knew if it was any good..

jenbop - don't know about the one you mentioned but there is a good gym at Ponds Forge in town. Its part of the Fitness Unlimited group that was mentioned above.

TBH I tend to use Hillsborough Leisure Centre out of the group anyway.

i USED to go just after work as i couldn't get there any other time and i found it to be terrible!!!!

am with greens now- much better and no waiting around for machines getting cold!

graves tennis centre is ok if you want something basic.i think its about £26.50 a month
