what a complete joke that is, a friend runs an estate and had people stealing birds etc hence the reason for a guard dog. The dog will not end up on a housing estate with a chav on the end of the lead. it will have a better life then most people on here.

if it was the guard dog post regardless of how it lives it's that that they find objectionable. Most rescues will also refuse as they wish their dogs to be homed inside not outside. It's a bummer as there are several places near to me that use dogs as a deterrent yet they are well cared for in every way. The facts are that too many people do not give guard dogs anything in return for what they want from them and many of these end up in rescues with issues that prevent rehoming.
Aside from your delightful sweeping insult which I shall gracefully ignore. Allow me to clarify for you; a guard dog is a working animal, it is not a pet. This is a pets forum - clear?
