I have just bought 6 fresh whole Mackerels for the dogs.

How should it be prepared? Cooked, grillled or raw?

Sorry if I sound a bit dumb just never fed it them fresh before. Usually buy it tinned in sunflower oil.

I already asked for the heads chopped off.

Any advice would be appreciated before I give it them.

Thanks in advance

Boiled in milk and you need to make sure it's de-boned

Well I boiled the first one in milk like suggested above and removed all of the bones, even though it were a bit tricky.

So the bones won't harm them? I just wouldn't want them to choke.

Bones may harm them if cooked but that's usually meat bones, raw are fine just think about if they caught a fish in the wild and ate it. Cooking in milk is for humans

Yeah I thought about it. I did read online that raw were fine. I just didn't want them to be unwell.

I will try them with raw when they have their next meal then.
