Top of air passengers' complaints was noisy children on aircraft, particularly by business men - maybe more parental control needed there, airlines may decide to separate parents travelling with children from other passengers in the future
Next was passengers from economy class being upgraded without extra charge
I'm wondering if we will see separate areas in cafes and restaurants for children in the future - a good idea?

As a childless chap, I used to get rather irate about people's kids hooning it about. I'd froth and foam at some wee chap having a giggle - It wasn't until recently that I've mellowed a bit and am actually quite happy to see kids enjoying themselves.
Maybe I'm getting a bit more paternal but sod it, let kids belt about a bit.

Bottom line is business class/first class/ etc is still public transport. Very expensive public transport granted but if someone has the tin to take his familly first class then you may end up with kids next to you.
Don't like it? Buy a private jet.
I'll certainly manage to get to sleep tonight without worrying overly that some banker on his way to cock up some countries economy had his champange nudged by some russian millionaires sprog.

It's usually the once a year flyers in Economy class that can be obnoxious, childrens ears can be effected while flying, they don't understand what happening, I've helped many a passenger with a crying child, I often see someone with their arms full trying to manage a child and get their bags off the overhead, everyone just pushes past them giving them looks because there holding up the line

Just fly business-I have rarely seen kids in business class. Even 1st class sometimes has crying/screaming kids but hey it is just kids being kids.

Unless it's directly impacting on me I don't mind the children so much.
They usually provide a welcome distraction from the really bad pain in my knees, hips and lower back which is caused because my femurs are longer than the distance between the seats and because of my disabilities I do not qualify to sit in any of the seats with more legroom.

Medusa, wouldn't a doctors note get you in at least the Bulk Head seats ? I know they like to save those for people with babies but no harm in asking.

Nope- the bulk heads and emergency exits (some planes don't have any of the bulk head seats anyway) are reserved for able bodied people because they form part of the emergency exits and you have to be able to get out of people's way to allow escaping and/or operate the emergency exits.
The plan falls down when you realise that not all people with disabilities are short
I was fine when we were flying around Canada as most of their commuter planes have sufficient spare seating that they don't mind you moving to one where you can be more comfortable once all of the passengers are on board, as long as you don't block the exits etc.
Because of the pain I dislike flying enough that I choose not to do it at all at the moment. Maybe I'll get there at some point in the future, but I'm not prepared to have the whole of a holiday unable to walk because the flight has screwed my back so much. Holidays are limited as a result, but I'm not that bothered to be honest.

I thought bulk head seats were for people with very small children and the exit door seats were for the Air Marshalls and responsible passengers,.
Anyhow did you know that the Pilot & Co Pilots have to make different meal choices on the flight...bit of trivia i heard

I think it's more likely that your hearing has become less acute and you just can't hear the little darlings.

I've heard that, is true? So if there's anything wrong with the food they both don't fall ill.
