I think the man is a genius. Some people hate him.

What do you think?

His suicide column in the observer took a lot of people in. Inspirational Satire -

Just to watch Noel Edmonds expound the dangers of 'cake' is enough, but the rest is equally astonishing.

Armando Ianuuci (sp?) too.

1st Series, as the farmers union rep.

Alan: "I wish to apologise for my comments regarding a cows spine in a bap"
Chris Morris: "Well, good thats a step in the right direction"
Alan: "well, it would be more accurate to say a spine in a baguette"

(or words to that effect)

Sorry, I meant second series overall (following Knowing Me Knowing You), but you're right, it was the first series of I'm Alan Partridge.

Alan: "You are a big posh sod with plums in your mouth!"

he did the Brass eye special didn't he?

I thought that was inspired, the facts it caused so much outrage from a certain area of the media *coughcoughdailymailandtabloidscoughcough* proved the point that it was actually having a go at, nothing to do with what the special was actually supposed to be about. No dpoubt other people have other views, i though it was brave, done in such a way that i lost all belief that the form of broadcasting (the news type style) was telling the truth about anything. More tot he point it really was very funny.

Chris Morris is a true comic genius of the inherent situation of the world nowadays.

Utter genius .... even if Jam did get a bit up its own *rse at times.

One of his all time greats was Sheffield related too...

Remember the Sheffield Paedophile disguised as a school?

Jam was beyond me i'll admit. Totally went over my head.

But The Day Today and Brass Eye were, for me, some of the best televisual treats ever to be seen. And I doubt they'll ever be topped.

The Paedophile Brass Eye special was only made better by the media hype it caused. The press were justifying it by ranting on about how disgusting it was.
Chris Morris merely made the first half hour of that show, the press finished it off, in all it's glory.

A Brass Eye special on terrorism is overdue I reckon.
Come on Chris, you know you wanna.

The Paedophile Brass Eye special was fabulous. I saw it before the main release and just knew what was going to happen when it went mainstream.

Amazingly, the media just didn't get the point of the parody and satire and fell into the totally obvious (to me anyway) trap that had been set.

Nonce-Sense!!!!!

The man Morris has actually had quite a few digs at The War Against Terror. He released that Bushwacked clip of an edited version of the State of the Union Address (available on the Warp records website), and used to have a fake news site at smokehammer.com. You always felt he was building up to something, but nothing ever really came of it all.

Jam was messed up.

The six year old 'cleaner' was the best i ever saw. That was so messed up.

And i thought Big train was disturbed, nothing compared to that.
