Im considering booking their wedding package as it sounds like a bargain and Im working to a budget.

Has anyone used them before? Any comments appreciated!

Also does anyone know what the bar prices are like? Don't want a bargain evening but get crippled on drinks!

Any advise or experience appreciated, thanks

It has been refurbished in the last 2 months. I work at the adjoining builders and have seen them filling skips!

the venue is nice but the only problem is that you hear the roller rink noise & music in the function rooms till about 10pm.
and there is a lot of stairs to get to the rooms so not suitable for older or disabled guests.
good luck

Been speaking to a man on the phone who seems lovely, £3 per pint, £3 bottles and 2.40 for 35ml spirit measures, seems ok. With the wedding package i get use of Mayfair room in the afternoon for a small gathering immediately after church then move into stars for the evening

Hi, I went to view it last week for my daughters 18th birthday. It is absolutley lovely, it has had an £80,000 refurb. There are leather chairs around tables and leather covered booths, the wall can all be lit up with LED lights and a lovely wooden floor. The bar area is also new and shiney. Yes there are stairs so will be hard for disabled. The toilets were getting there makeover as we were there. We happened to have had our wedding reception there almost 19 yrs ago and until the refurb hadn't changed in all that time. GOOD LUCK

Is there any other way at all to get in for disabled access? Just the one disabled guest who might attend but probably won't.

I really don't know if there is any other way in for disabled access. Give them a ring and see if there is. They are really obliging and answered all our questions.

We went to a nice wedding reception there in Sept after the refurb. Small room then large room for evening guests. Buffet wasn't really big enough but everything else fine except lack of lift etc, we had a pram so it was a bit of a nightmare but manageable.
Room is nice, esp the larger one (get mixed up!), as mentioned above. Think they paid abuot £1k for it all in? DJ etc?x

Did u end up booking this venue? I'm thinking of booking the Mayfair suite for a party next year. The rooms sound good after the refurbishment but I haven't read anything about the quality of their food. I know u can take your own but their prices look quite reasonable.
