Does anyone whether I can play saturday afternoons if I play saturday mornings as well?
Basically, I play in the SDFPL which are 10.30am kick offs... but does that mean I cannot play in the afternoon for another saturday side in a different league?
anyone know the ruling on this?

Im pretty sure you'd be ok playing morning and afternoons (other than slightly crazy for wanting too) as the teams would be registered in different leagues and wouldn't play against each other.

Call the Sheffield & Hallamshire on 2414999. I am sure that they would be pleased to advise you.

Call the FA on 01142 414999 and they will tell you. Normally cant sign for teams playing same day but can do Saturday and Sunday for example.

I have always thought you CANT do this, as under the same County FA??
We always ask players to de-register from any Saturday team just incase.

you can defo play Saturday & Sunday as I have played for both for last 2 years... registered under the same name etc. With them been different days its fine... just not sure about the Saturday playing for 2 teams.
I reckon I should be fine... as its a different league totally and kick off times so can never conflict

I have rang them, they say I am fine to play both as the SDFPL don't register their players with the FA... which was news to me.... So... Need to find a team now lol

Suprised at that. Thought all teams had to be registered with the FA, must be something to do with it being Fair Play no bookings etc.

No bookings? lol who has told you that... I was suprised about the FA registeration as we get fines for bookings etc.. its just we don't get many bookings.. as people want to play football and not snap someone in half

Thats what i ment no registered bookings rather than non actually getting shown. But if you get fines i suppose they must be registered can only think they are regisitered with the League rather than the FA. At least you know if you get sent off in Fair play league you will only get banned from Fair Play League.

South Yorkshire Amatuer League isn't too bad depending what Standard you are theres County Senior.
I think its to do with it being a Church League that its not registered with the FA they do it all themselfs

I played for a Pheonix side towards the end of the other season.. think they were in South Yorkshire Amatuer League... Wouldn't say I was county senior level.. although to be fair I haven't tried for a team in there.
Been looking on here but nobody has really asked about players

All leagues and clubs have to be affiliated to a County FA but some leagues have their own registration system. All cautions and sendings off are handled by the County FA (in your league's case the Sheffield & Hallamshire).
There is one national system now so the theory is if you get sent off and suspended playing for Penzance Wanderers on a Saturday it will show up if you play whilst suspended for Aberdeen Achedemicals on a Sunday.
