Loved them for years. First time I went to see them was at the City Hall for the Some Great Reward tour.
My first "proper" gig and set me up for a lifetime of going to see bands.
As I type this "just can't get enough" has come on a DFS ad on telly. Weird.

I saw them at a half empty City Hall in 1987 on the Music For The Masses tour, this was just before they went massive in the States and were selling out Arenas.

Do you think if Vince Clarke had remained in the group they would have ended up sounding like Erasure?
I can't imagine Dave Gahan singing those kind of songs.
So, was it a blessing then that he left & Martin Gore became chief songwriter?

BQ: Favourite Depeche Mode Album?

I'm not a massive fan of them but I do love the Violator album and a few of their earlier songs. I've also got an absolutely superb audio recording of them performing Never Let Me Down Again live around 93/94 which I heard years ago and had to keep.

Yeah I've just been watching one after you mentioned it. Lots of arm waving in the crowd.

Oh and I've just found the audio recording I mentioned.

I like just one of their songs - Just can't get enough.

Whenever it comes on the Ipod or Radio the stereo is cranked right up......love it.

Been a fan for, well, it seems like always! Favourite album is probably Songs of Faith & Devotion, like them all though Favourite gig was the Devotional Tour back in 93, at the arena. Quite like Daves solo stuff too, Paper Monsters & Hourglass.

I like them loads. Violator is the album for me, when they did the tour at the arena when Songs of was out... do you remember Dave chucking himself in the audience? Glad to see he didn't kill himself eventually.
