Been waiting on for an item thats been at there deliver hub since 6th Dec.
This morning tracking says out for delivery !! yeaaa.
1137 Tracking says signed for by customer > eh ?

I ve been in all day , watching the tv in the front window.. not one delivery van down our street today.
None of the neighbours have signed for anything.. Their contact number is constatly engaged..

Anyone know any myhermes couriers who can help me track down where my item has gone ?.. its a fairlly big item too ,

myhermes use self employed drivers, ie anyone with a car, a parcel we are waiting for is being delivered by them, we have no clue where it is, have been told today that the person couldn't deliver it on the 6th Dec because it wouldn't fit in car, so I asked well where is it? they not sure... I am really really unhappy!

Is the courier Hermes? I use these frequently when i buy things from the next directory and usually come next day. I ordered some wellies from Tesco through the same courier. Online it said out for delivery for 3 days running and eventually come on the 4th day

depends on which area you live in, some depots have worked through and some were innaccessible for quite some time but backlog is quickly being whittled down.

This has got to be the worse company ever, ordered from debenhams and toys r us, who both use these idiots, still waiting for toys r us, says out for delivery, that was 6th december, they ahve a bad tracking service, even toys r us reckon they are taking on more than they can handle, you cannot blame the weather for this anymore, yes it may create a backlog but they should have sorted it out by now, I am disgusted with them, I deal with couriers for work, and they are all better than these idiots, wouldnt have ordered if I had known they use this company.

We are still waiting for my sons bike from toys r us ordered 26th of nov, I'm losing hope that it's going to be here before christmas, already thinking of what to say to my 5 year old christmas morning when Santa hasn't delivered the only thing he wrote on his list

On the phone again to toys r us, who immediately told me, yes the courier has delays, so what, not my problem, I ordered when they said 4 working day delivery, now nearly 3 weeks later, still no order.

Yet I can order yesterday from John Lewis, and its will be with me Monday, why are Toys R Us using a rubbish company, Toys R Us are a big company and should use someone reliable, this can not be blamed on the weather now!!!

Delay, delay, I ordered online for convenience, and now I have been totally messed on and no presents yet!

well seeing as we do not have a toys r us or a debenhams in sheffield then you will have to depend on some poor person having to trudge through snow & freezing weather using their own transport and getting paid a pittance for delivering the said items so someone can sit at home and criticize them for not getting through with the order they could not be bothered to collect themselves.

Excuse me playman?

What is the need for that?

The couriers are paid to do a job, yes there may be those shops in Sheffield, some people dont have vehicles to go out to buy stuff, and what's the heck as that got to do with anything?

I paid for a service I have not received.

So take your "cannot be bothered" attitude away, you do not know peoples circumstances, I could be disabled or anything, so if you have nothing constructive to say, then don't say anything.

Oh and by the way none of the items ordered actually originate from any sheffield company so have to be transported from hubs usually at the other end of the country and then when these companies have taken your money and put the order through, usually through a third party who actually despatch the items or not will always tell you it is no fault of theirs that your order has not arrived but always ensure they have a scapegoat to keep you off their backs.

Well people would not presume they are going to pick the products from Sheffield shops and deliver them, that's what warehouses are for, parcels, depending on the courier, are taking to a main sorting hub then loaded onto vans for delivery across the country, I know, I deal with couriers as part of my job.

Just for fun, did you know that DHL delivered 940,000 parcels on Thursday? and Tuffnells are currently having no backlog at the moment?

If you need anymore information playman, just let me know.

well DHL may well have delivered 940,000 parcels on thursday but does that include actually delivering them to couriers or actually delivering to premises ? a lot of couriers work for several delivery companies and they all have had problems either recieving their parcels or actually delivering them, oh and by the way my job is at a parcel depot where the couriers collect their parcels and i know for a fact what the problems are/were, our depot opened every day through the bad weather and were in constant contact with the courier companies being updated about the delays and problems and the instructions being issued to the couriers and when they might receive any deliveries.

I'm not criticizing any driver, however I will criticize a large company that uses self employed people to deliver large items in their own car! my sons bike was sat with someone who couldn't deliver it! and has taken them a further 11 days to unload it onto someone else! we had a few days of snow, a few days of ice, I understand the perils delivery drivers face, but come on, it's stupid now. We are willing to go pick up our parcel but stupid custmoer service won't tell us anything!

It's totally ridiculous. I've got a bunch of packages still here - booked last weekend, and there's only five working days to Christmas!

I'm starting to get really annoyed about this. I've never known a season like it where you can't even get your parcels collected!

It's the customer service for lost parcels. They're just useless...

Although I have found their service generally to be better than HDN. But the guy who comes around to collect parcels comes in a little white van (which seems odd compared to the huge vans with logos from other couriers).

Seems it would be a good idea to cross that courier off for the posting of my ebay items!!

Word of mouth is so powerful!
