masmith46 Â Â 10 #1 Posted December 14, 2010 My daughter has a V reg Peugeot 106 to be scrapped as the cam belt has snapped. Anyone got any ideas how much she would get for it, and who would take it away. She would need someone to pick it up as its obviously not drivable. Firparnian   10 #2 Posted December 14, 2010 I scrapped a Fiat Brava a couple of years ago for the same reason and got £100 for it, just make sure whoever you use to dispose of it is licensed and that you receive a copy of the waste transfer document, also don't to forget to inform the DVLA
 Share this content via...

littlebasher   11 #5 Posted December 15, 2010 OR sell it on Ebay as it is, for 3 times what you'll get off a scrapyard.  106 isn't a heavy car, not much metal to weigh in there.
 Share this content via...

You will get a load more off ebay than you will from a scrap man. Someone will want it to try and fix up themselves.
 Share this content via...
norks   10 #8 Posted December 15, 2010 I have a daewoo tacuma that needs scrapping or fixing. I have been wondering what to do with it as its in good condition with low milage so would seem a waste to scrap it. Any idea's?
 Share this content via...
GrannyGranny   10 #9 Posted December 15, 2010 Thing is trying to get rid of it on Ebay can be a hassle.  Non payers and timewasters are common place.  And with a snapped cambelt the engine is trashed. You will not get much at all on Ebay.  Less hassle just to call a scrappy, collect whatever they will give you for it and thats the end of it. Mak_cave   10 #11 Posted December 15, 2010 Do I need a car tech inspection to run on May 29th for the SS?  If so, where do I get the form? Can I do it myself, or do I have to take it somewhere?  Thanks
 Share this content via...
av1adm   10 #12 Posted December 15, 2010 Hi I buy Cars for cash. I have the relevant licence from the Environment agency and always fill out the paperwork to inform the DVLA. Cars are collected and cash paid on the spot. Hassle free.  Cheers  Andy 07778302730
 Share this content via...
