Car to be scrapped

My daughter has a V reg Peugeot 106 to be scrapped as the cam belt has snapped. Anyone got any ideas how much she would get for it, and who would take it away. She would need someone to pick it up as its obviously not drivable.

I scrapped a Fiat Brava a couple of years ago for the same reason and got £100 for it, just make sure whoever you use to dispose of it is licensed and that you receive a copy of the waste transfer document, also don't to forget to inform the DVLA

106 isn't a heavy car, not much metal to weigh in there.

I 2nd that! You will get a load more off ebay than you will from a scrap man. Someone will want it to try and fix up themselves.

I have a daewoo tacuma that needs scrapping or fixing.

I have been wondering what to do with it as its in good condition with low milage so would seem a waste to scrap it.

Any idea's?

Thing is trying to get rid of it on Ebay can be a hassle.

Non payers and timewasters are common place.

And with a snapped cambelt the engine is trashed. You will not get much at all on Ebay.

Less hassle just to call a scrappy, collect whatever they will give you for it and thats the end of it.

Do I need a car tech inspection to run on May 29th for the SS?

If so, where do I get the form? Can I do it myself, or do I have to take it somewhere?

I buy Cars for cash.

I have the relevant licence from the Environment agency and always fill out the paperwork to inform the DVLA.

Cars are collected and cash paid on the spot. Hassle free.
