I went down town with my mates and we did a pub crawl down the moor and up London road finishing off with a Chinese in Lin Hongs at Highfields.
It fell on a Saturday and was the day of the last Sheffield Tram.

had a celebration with all my work mates at the Vine on Cemetery Rd. We had a shut in after closing time. The cops came and rousted us, nothing illegal going on, but sure put a dent in the festivities. Thanks guys!

Over 25 years ago now but the memory is still pretty clear, and no wonder cus my 21st turned out to very surreal and slightly weird.
I was living in London at the time with my great aunt - her son was a singer/actor and had been in some of the west end shows. He said he would 'do' my 21st - turned out to be a riot - a lot of his mates turned up from the fringes of show biz - Roger de Courcey ( Nookey bear ), the guy who played Dennis Tanner from Corrie, are the ones I can remember, and also dancers, singers etc. alongside my mates from work and a few down from Sheff.
The surreal and crazy bit was when my cousin decided to 'put on a show right here' and the memory of some of my butch mates from work dressed up in sequin scarves an hats miming like crazy to tunes from 'Caberet' or 'Gypsy' will stay with me forever.
As I said, very weird looking back but one of the best nights of my life

I always dreamed of having a big party with my family and friends, but it turned out to be a meal out just four of us, and five months pregnant.
