Just wondered as other cities have been mentioned today as potential hotspots over the weekend. Just wondered if anything is planned for sheffield tomorrow or sunday?

What a stereotypical bunch you lot are. I dont agree with what some of the students did in London the other day. I mean injuring people, defacing war memorials and damaging the Queen's car is just wrong... it all got taken a bit too far and got out of hand.
We're not all mindless thugs so please dont tar us all with the same brush.

well i for one is sick to death of all this rioting lark I darent even take my kids into town to see the lights cos all we will get is 'scorned' students in our faces shouting swearing I get your all p'd off but what the hell happened to a peaceful protest ??!!!!

I wouldn't bother. The usual minority seciton of the Sheffield Forum crowd come screaming out slagging off all students and tarring them all with the same brush at the first sign of trouble that can be related to students even if any one with half a brain can see it is an idiotic minority causing the problems. I see many more social problems in this city caused by locals who have never been near a university than I do caused by the majority of students. Both groups have their minority of idiots but try explaining that to some of the cretins on this website.
You would have thought some people who deride students so much for sitting on their bums and 'doing nothing' would be pleased to see some of them putting in the effort (those who are doing it peacefully) and showing a real passion for something they believe in.
