Please help raise awareness of my friends Lurcher dog who sadly escaped from the garden on Tuesday. She is quite old and frail so needs finding as soon as possible. My friend is beside hereself with worry. If anyone needs a photo please email me.
The dog is Black/grey brindle lurcher medium build aged 11 years missing since Tuesday afternoon in Deepcar, Sheffield. Last seen on the Pen Nook Estate at around 3pm. Please contact 07917062570 with any information

Hello

Please have a look at the sticky threads at the top of the pet forum. It will give you some ideas to try and numbers to ring that may also help your search. I'm sure people on the forum will keep their eyes open for her and I hope she turns up soon

Thanks for all the advice guys but still not heard much. There is a possible sighting that she may have been hit by a car but got up and ran on Stocksbridge bypass Tuesday evening but we have no follow up.
We have been up and down the bypass all day yesterday looking but no sign at all.
Please everyone can you ask on your facebook if anyone knows of anyone who may have seen her. Her owner is ill after an operation which she had on Tuesday and the dog being missing is not helping her recovery at all.

Oh no this is awful, particularly for an elderly lurcher in this weather

I'm in Stocky so will keep my eyes open, I'll be around later walking my own lurcher so will have a look.

Thank you so much for the link to doglost. My friend has rung them and they have been a fantastic help. They are going to be carrying out a full scale search in the morning up on Stocksbridge bypass with tracker dogs and everything. My friend is over the moon and has had a little boost of confidence in finding poor Harriet.

Hi,

Thank you to everyone for their kind messages of support but just wanted to let everyone know that in actual fact there may not yet be news of a sad outcome to my missing dog referred to above. The witness who claimed to have seen her killed on Stocksbridge by-pass has proved to be wholly unreliable and has provided inconsistent accounts of what he claimed to have seen. So much so that the doglost organisation who have been a tremendous support have decided to re-open the case.

Please please would everyone keep an eye for my beautiful girl (Deepcar/Stocksbridge areas) who may still be out there trying to fend for herself. She is black with a white face and very friendly but nervous around strangers. I am so distraught and heartbroken without her

xxx

Wow that's hopeful, I'm praying you find her safe and well .

Awful that someone would lie about something like that though .

I have changed the title to reflect the latest news. I will do some editing of the thread to ensure people are still looking or her.

Best wishes and I'll keep my fingers crossed that she turns up soon
