Hi

My fridge is acting up, i.e. the stuff in the freezer compartment was beginning to defrost slightly so I upped the dial and now the milk, yoghurts, cheese etc are freezing in the fridge part! It's a basic model where you only have one thermo thingy for the whole appliance.

Is it time to buy a new one? Or can thermo thingies be fixed?

If you've had your fridge 5yrs + then its time for a new un ! , thats unless you can get it fixed cheap, (repairs can be expensive)

Ermm, well yes, I have as it happens... There are some good deals at the moment so I may treat myself for Christmas. Thanks deltorso - although I would rather have Botox.

Just put the frozen foods in the boot of the car and leave the car in the street so that it stays that way. Then turn the setting back down.
