Hi. A couple of weeks ago I spilt a very small amount of tea on my laptop keyboard (no more than maybe three drops) now the return key is sticking, it is a little stiff to push down, it does come back up in a second or so but not straight away. It is quite impossible to spray anything under the key, can anyone tell me please is it a difficult job to take the top off the keyboard so that I can get to spray maybe some meths. under the key or is it a job for the specialist? Thanks ever so much to anyone who can idvise on what to do.

fiddly, but do-able... !!!!!!

the keyboard will come off, but i'd be inclined to pop off the said key, carefully, then wash out the crap, possably with a cotton bud, then carefully re insert the key'

Thanks donky7 for that advice a great help, didn't know you could get the individual keys off the pad. How would you do it? my idea is to insert a kitchen knife, one on either side and prise gently up, could you let me know if I am on the right track? Thanks once again if it works then my worries are over.

The return key is one of the fiddlyest, as it has a metal bar too.
The normal keys just pull off, Ideally you'd want some Isopropl alcolhol and just flush it through.
