You would have to be a gold subscriber for that even if it was available. I love the xbox and all but having to have gold for most of the services is utter rubbish.

Well its just a gaming console, to play games. Xbox and Ps3 are just doing extras to make you buy it. To me, only better thing is the kinect, and maybe a few extra titles such as Alan Wake etc etc

Its a games console
The hint is in its name, and thats why other consoles have to add gimmicks to try and compete with it.

Oh you must be right if you have used a smiley!
When they launched the term 'next generarion' prior to launch date of xbox360 and PS3 it was all about howfar you can push the boundries, not just in respect of better graphics and online play, but also incorporating media, internet and connection devices. Thus seperating 'next generation' from xbox and PS2.
Im not a fanboy of either because I like Them ALL for different reasons BUT i find things like internet browser a basic requirement On a next gen console and it never crossed my that xbox360 disnt have this, nor did it cross my mind it didnt have bluetooth! (blu-ray i knew about and understand them not having it)
So no, those things arent gimmicka at all, they are all inclusive of pushing the boundries of gamimg and communicarion to
The next level, which ALL the consoles are trying to do!!

Maybe you should buy a PC for gaming instead, IMO a nextgen gaming console is just that, for games, why would you want to browse the internet on a console? ive been on a ps3 and browsing is not the easiest thing to do to say the least.
I prefer a company puts everything into the primary function and not try to make it a multimedia device, thats why the XBOX is a far superior gaming machine and why XBL is a far superior service.
Why you would need bluetooth on a console is also beyond me??
(and to make me right, i'll even add a smiley for you )
For me,
XBOX is for games
PC is the multimedia device, all my TV, movies, downloaded tv, blu-ray and browsing etc. is done by it. For the simple reason nothing else comes close in functionality. The ps3 might do some of these but its not a patch on how my setup does it.

You are what fully depicts a 'fanboy' in this instance, an xbox one, you are not open minded enough to realise all consoles have thinga to offer above others.
Why would i want bluetooth? So people can use bluetooth wireless headsets they already have for their phones without having to purchase seperate ones if they dont like the free wired one? Or perhaps to use a bluetooth keyboard which they already have? Doh!
Both consoles offer better things, i could go into why but your not intelligent enough to open your mind beyond one console so i will leave you be.
Whereas i will carry on playing both consoles and get the best from both.

And if you wanted interoperability or multi-compatibility, Bonjon is right, you should have looked at the PC side of things, not bought into a proprietary, closed format (i.e. the manufacturer of which controls how you use it, what with and what for).
Don't let the above come as a surprise, though: this has been the way of games consoles for decades. 'latest tech' features added in each generational change notwithstanding.

Already have a pc (well my hubbys took it to his mums for a week) with what i need.
As far as im concerned bluetooth should be standard, i gave you a good enough example! Chatting to friends, not having to buy anotherheadset! Simples.
Amazes me why you are so closed minded. What a boring life you must have if you cant accept all things in life have good and bad points!

Did it ever occur to you that not everyone is so fortunate as to be able to afford both

That's why Wii is probably the global best seller! I did find it useful connecting a keyboard to browse the web whilst my better half completes degree course assignments! I read/saw somewhere that all TV channel providers (not Sky) were looking into delivering technologies (i-player, 4oD, ITV Player etc) that will be included in future TV sets.

Many current TV sets already offer some of this functionality, wired to the Web over LAN or WiFi. Sony, Samsung and Pana at least, last I checked.
The "tech" is the same as used with PCs for a while already (content, codec, delivery over web, etc.) it's just a matter of packing enough grunt and RAM in the TV set to process it (...oh, and paying the right license fees of course, which is why 360 doesn't have 4OD ...or Bluetooth, for that matter )
