Just had an e-mail from a friend warning me of a new virus called, Life is beautiful,which is supposed to wipe your hard disc clean and steal your identities.Is it true?

But yes it is a hoax, been going since 2002

its a hoax ,besides virus`s dont wipe hard drives ,but can steal data

Oh no not another boot sector 0 virus!

I'd recommend a good AV like Kaspersky, not overly expensive (some banks give it away free) and it's a much better option than something free like AVG.

I agree and would also say Nod32 is another good option
