Young man on roof of Northern General.

I'm stuck at the Northern General and I've just nipped out for a fag to find the whole of the Huntsman building sealed off with police tape. Outside there's about a dozen firemen and half a dozen policemen. On the roof is a man in his early 20s who's shouting down at the police and moving about in an agitated way. Anyone else know anything about this situation or is anyone else also here? I've got to go back inside (as I'm waiting for test results and MORE tests) so I won't know what is happening/has happened outside. I just hope they get him down before he does anything stupid.

mikeybaby72....has been admitted so may not be able to get back and reply.

Apparently it all died down very quickly...so it looks like whoever was on the roof had come down. Mike noticed as we were speaking two policemen with a young man who looked as though it could have been the man on the roof but he wasn't certain.

Yes it can be heavy that lead, and the scrap yards are only open half day on a weekend.

just spoke to Mike again...from the "comfort" of his hospital bed surrounded by staff wanting to sick needles in him.

From what he understands....a prison van containing prisoners crashed....the injured were taken to NGH...one of them was running around smashing windows and generally creating mayhem...the police were chasing around trying to catch him and take him back into custody...and then he somehow got onto the roof of the Huntsman building.

The police managed to talk him down apparently.

Well that's better entertainment than what's on hospital telly

we were there too across at the macmillian centre he was walking on the ledge and smashed a window. Last we saw a nurse was talking to him but don't know how it ended

You need to know the cheat codes to get on the roofs in GTA

Nah, if it was GTA he would have put a cheat code in for a rocket launcher, unlimited ammo and a helicopter!!! Lol

the nurse talk him to come in and get help and 16 police officers in the room the has cutt both his wrists and he broken he arm but he ok he is a prisoner and he tried to escape but he been seen to and taken away with the police
