I haven't seen it in well over a week, I haven't heard anybody mention its location on SF.

Where is the Police helicopter, has it vanished from our skies?

To reduce costs and contribute to the £1 000 000 000 billion cuts in public spending, it has been replaced by a Police Chinese lantern.

It was over Firth Park this afternoon, obviously keeping an eye on me while I was taking my foster doggy out for a walk!

I waved, as usual, but don't think anybody waved back.

I like the helicopter. I like to know that my Police service is properly equipped and can react quickly to emergencies and, for instance, follow stolen cars rather than Police cars being involved in high speed chases.

If we want a better Police service we should support them. If we critiscize then that shoulkd be constructive.

Not the banal whittering and whinging that precedes this message.

Purchase some ear plugs, and whilst you are at it get some bandages , place them on your fingers and stop posting crap.

I've got no idea where the copper chopper is, but I've just seen a Chinook in rescue colours coming from the direction of RAF Culdrose- is that any good to you?

being properly equipped is one thing but where do you draw the line..?
airplanes
helicopters
speedboats
tanks
how about an orbiting observation platform in space..?

Sadly funds ARE limited, and some things ARE going to have to go.
Helicopter like that has to be worth a few million. Sell it, buy another 50 decent patrol cars and catch the car thieves the old fashioned way, by chasing after them..!
You then save all the running costs, and the cops that were in the big noisy thing in the sky can have a police car each and catch some crooks from the ground.
Seems to be perfectly logical to me..?

Of course not! The royal standard wasn't on a flagpole on the cockpit, so I knew that it wasn't him.

(It also helps that he's now stationed in Anglesey and I'm nowhere near there!)
