Hi,
Was anyone in the RAOC and was posted to Tel El Kebir in Egypt from 1951 to 1953, national service in the Suez Zone?
My late Dad was there and just wondered if anyone else was still around who went there.
My Dad did his training at Deepcut.

My father was Captain in the RAOC, served in Egypt during the war. Was called up for Suez, but didn't have to go.

I knew a guy who was in the R.A.O.C at 'Tek' in the years mentioned. His name was Jack Hanson, lived up somewhere near the five arches I think. Later became fondly known as 'Idle Jack', because he won a lot of money on the pools.
