I have a 22Mb file I want to store on the web so that someone in Oz can look at it, it's an mpeg file. Anyone know where I can get free storage for something that size?

Yahoo Briefcase supposedly offers 30MB. Dunno if it's any good though because I've not tried it.

If you don't already have personal web space (Blueyonder gives 30MB to it's customers - which I only recently realised!) then could you ask a neighbour to loan you theirs?

Simply upload it for long enough for your friend in Oz can get to it... then delete it?

you could try using MSN messenger
you can download it for free from microsoft.com
it's mainly a chat program, but you can use it to send files

As alert_bri suggests, your best and easiest option would be to use the free space provided by your ISP. Most major ISPs offer free space with their dial-up and broadband packages, sometimes it's just a matter of looking around their site - for example I found the information about BT Openworld's free space on some sub-page off their main site (it wasn't exactly advertised!).

Thanks for everyone's input. What I have achieved so far is to create a front page for a website using the free space provided by plusnet. I've ftp'd the file onto plusnet's server but cannot find a way of linking this to the page, it only allows me to browse my local files.

It looks like I'm going to have to rtfm.

Problem solved, video now visible in Oz. Thanks for everyone's input.

Your file is a little to big for this site but for future refernce http://www.bravenet.com/ will give you 20M for free and it's a doodle to create your own site etc.
