Does anyone know what the current Casanova restaurant building was prior to it being a restaurant (and prior to that)?

The 'Crookes Picture Palace' as it was called, was on the corner of Newent Lane next to what was 'Ballins' drapery shop.I think the 'Co-op' which is now 'Casanovas' is on the corner of Marston Road.
Prior to 'Casanovas' I seem to remember this building selling household and fancy goods. ( I could be wrong ! )

Yes, it was the Co-op (Sheffield & Ecclesall) drapery shop. A strange place - very old fashioned and dark inside. No one ever seemed to go in.

It has also been a Prize Bingo and a Motor bike shop as well as the other things mentioned.
