My friend fancies a curry, and a club to dance the night away. Given that the company is more important than the venue etc...What do you folks think?
Any suggestions?

An eighth, a DVD copy of either Happy Gilmore or BASEketball and a pliable ladyfriend.

Would have to be a night in. He doesn't arrive until around 8pm or I don't get to his until that time. Whichever arrangement it is - we spend a quietly romantic evening together with a meal, wine, an especially moving film to watch and hopefully stay together all night. Oh well I can dream

I would have liked to have outed Michael Portillo but he did it himself.

Follow Al Capone's lead and go on the rampage
I dont much like VD (Valentines Day and a suitable acronym for it I think ) its commercialised pap! you dont need to go about buying sickly rubbish just to show someone you care about them!
Who is this St Valentine anyway? was he a martyr? bludgeoned to death by furry teddys and chocolate hearts?
....Or again maybe Im just bitter because reliably the postman comes with NOTHING!!!!
Valentines cards from girly friends dont count, although they are fun and worry my mum!
Dunno what Im gonna do come VD probably get mashed and go out and get mashed some more...sounds like a plan!

xxx

Might sound a bit cynical but I don't believe in Valentine's Day (and before you ask, sadly I am currently unattached, had offers though from loopylove.com), in my opinion it's just something invented by card shops to make money between Christmas and Easter, the 2 main religious holidays of the year.

I second that opinion! and yet I still bought a card but turned nose up at sickly furry teddy type things with the big felt hearts....
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no NO!
its all too vomit inducing!
If you care about someone surely you show em every day of the year and not just one!!!
