Since the wonders of the universe were created solely for the benefit of humans. Is it fair to say that all none human beings have a right to be <removed> at us.?

what makes you think the wonders of the universe were created solely for the benefit of humans?

I personally don't think that. The question is addressed to those that do.

If it hadn't been for the chance invention of the telescope we would have had nothing to wonder at.

Anyone who holds the first chapter or two of Genesis to be literal truth must, of necessity, believe it. Whether there are any such on this forum I don't know, but in a population of over ten thousand there might well be.

It's a deeply flawed question; it rests on a premise that we aren't sure anyone believes and a premise that suggests that none humans have the capacity for conscious thought, which is highly dubious at best.

The colours of the flowers and plants were created for the insects and birds.
They radiate in ultraviolet, which only they can see.
They evolved millions of years before humans.
Even though we appreciate their beauty they were not created for us.

We are sure beyond any doubt that there are those who believe.

Is that why our appendix is surplus to our bodily requirements?

it's possibly not surplus, there have been suggestions that it is used to repopulate the gut with good digestive bacteria following diseases like cholera.

Don't tell those that's had theirs removed.

a burst appendix would result in peritonitis and a not particularly pleasant death.
in densely populates societies, like western industrialised ones, we can pick up the necessary bacteria from each other, so the lack of an appendix probably doesn't matter.

Oh goody! Another divinity question. We've not had nearly enough of those over the past few months.
How about giving it a rest? Posting another question like this to get a rise from them is getting really old.
Seriously. This forum used to be a brilliant place to discuss all sorts but now it's just a place for thinly veiled prejudice and bad attitudes.
It is not the Sheffield "pick on the devout" Forum.

You make it sound like a serendipitous event, like the discovery of Penicillin.
Are you saying that if Hans Lippershey (also known as Johann Lippershey or Lippershey) had never been born, we'd be living in a world without telescopes?

Or, if you're Sarah Palin, 6,000 years ago.

Who are you accusing of being prejudice, having a bad attitude and picking on the devout to get a rise from them Karis?

...also you're question is badly phrased. I had to read it several times to understand it. Its also nonsensical considering the universe is so filled with intense radiation and extremes of temperature that 98% of its environment would kill you instantly.
