Hi...

My pc when I first boot it up or wake it up from standby mode, the task bar on the bottom with the start button on it, freezes just for a few seconds, then the last 4 icons on the bottom of the desktop seem to jump and the task bar jumps too and then its fine. Until everything has jumped I cannot do anything with it. I have scanned and scanned and nothing has been found. I havent installed anything new recently either. Its also saying that a network cable is umplugged, when it isnt. I have broadband so its constantly on. Then when it all jumps, its saying local area connection connected ??? I havent a clue why its started doing this, its only this last few weeks really. Have I done something to cause this or is it something else please?

Thanks...

Probably just things loading at startup - some load later in the process than others. On mine, once the desktop has loaded, it loads some other stuff then the desktop vanishes for a second before coming back and everything is fine.

edit: sorry i misread the first time - it sounds like it is simply your pc starting up your network connection - ie it is still loading or connecting when it says "network not connected"
