My girlfriend and I went to Marco at Milano's on Saturday night and I have to say it was fantastic.

The service was excellent, just the right pace. Although the menu was limited if like me you are not a seafood fan the food was brilliant. And didn't break the bank.

Rates as best meal I've had if Sheffield.

Anybody else have best (or worst) meals?

Chez Lalou in Walkley (ish) area..

Absolutely marvellous food and wine... and don't, whatever you do, order a starter... I ignored that advice and nearly had a repeat of the "wafer thin mint" routine courtesy of Mr Creasote..

A breakfast bar on Saucehall street (Glasgow) at 5:30am was the best meal I had after a hard nights clubbing. Although every meal after a night out is the best you have for some reason!

Best meal in sheffield was at Nirmals curry house on Glossop road.

Marco at Milanos is on Archer Road, just off Abbydale road going past the Millhouses pub heading out of Sheffield.

Nirmals is at the start of Glossop road end of West street, same side as Varsity and about 200 yards up from it, it's abit pricey but nice, if you want value for money Sb's curry house (nr Leadmill) is good for that and the food is just as nice

If you like live acoustic music and a bit of a singsong, try the Crown Inn pub on the main road A61 between Grenoside and High Green ( opp. the Jet garage on the corner). It starts about 9.00 thursdays and saturdays nights.
