Not sure if its just me but im wondering if the chavs are not handling Englands draw with USA very well?

Ive heard about six police cars soom past my mates house. There certainly seem to be lots of anti-socials quietly having a few cans of beer outside in the street. Im sure they will have plenty of time to recover before going back to work on Monday.

Has anyone else noticed this random observation??

sadly all areas will be suffering the chavvy street boozing, noisy BBQ`s and general anti social behaviour while the football is on .

Is 'surge' the correct plural for more than one police siren?

if you live within 400 yards of gleadless road you will know its a odd night if theres not at least 5 bursts of sirens going towards gleadless.

'Burst' of sirens - now, that's got to be the correct plural - surely?!

Is wail of sirens, the correct collective noun?

Sadly, and rather boringly, I think the collective noun is sirens...... although 'wail' is far more interesting.

I like wail! Good imaginative collective noun! It could, of course, have been a serious RTC on the ring road.

Or it could have been Corkers letting it all out at the result and the relief from the buzz of those damnable vuvacellas? I'd like to have all the damn things confiscated and melted down before the next game.

Everyone who agrees, say AYE!

In Greek mythology, the Sirens were 3 dangerous bird-women.

If they were birds, then surely the collective noun would be a flock of sirens?

Can I offer susurration of sirens........
Anybody found blowing a vuvuzela should have it heated to incandescence and have it rammed somewhere uncomfortable.
