While I am at her grandma's there are 3 parks close by, there is one 2 mins walk away, there is one around 5 mins walk away and one about 30 mins walk I think.

Anyone who had these problems find a solution in the end? If so, please share!

My 20 month old son who has previously slept from between 8pm to around 7am with a 1-2 hour afternoon nap has started waking up at around 5am and refusing to go back to sleep again. I'm pregnant with my second and am absolutely exhausted, so desperate to get him back on his normal schedule.

It's not that he doesn't need the sleep - he's definitely been grumpy and prone to tantrums since this started around a week ago - and coping with a screaming toddler when you're exhausted yourself definitely isn't fun!

Have just ordered one of those bedtime training clocks as have read some other forums where this has worked for older kids, but worried that he's a bit young for this. Anyone else tried this approach?

I am certainly no expert on this (my daughter isn't in a great routine) but my h.v told me to cut out my daughters afternoon naps at 2. As your son is 20 months maybee restricting them to 30 minutes?
Obviously it's not always possible to cut them out on certain days or restrict them if your out and about but when you can do and see if it makes a difference.
Good luck x
