My little Trickster is off to the v-e-ts in a few minutes.

She's started with a nasty sore ear. It's all red, and manky, wet, and sore, and there's been a lot of whimpering overnight (and she's not a "mardy" girl). We've had a lot of head shaking, and pawing at the ear. Her demeanour is subdued, too.

I expect she'll need some tablets and drops for it.

It must be very uncomfortable, for her, poor thing.

Aww - hope she gets on ok. Sooty had the same thing and Peaks gave him some ear drops and it cleared up in about a week - marvellous stuff.

Ah, poor little Trixie. I'm sure it'll clear up quickly with the right treatment, but I don't envy you trying to put drops in her ear!!

My buggers always managed to have a good shake and give me a nice shower.

Hope you get Trixie's ears sorted for her. Our Ghostie has itchy ears every now and again where it's very uncomfortable for him and he scratches and scratches, soon sorted with his ear drops though.

cheers everyone.

we've just got back.

The vet has given her some Canaural drops, (twice daily) which she has, indeed showered me with. bless lol

Hopefully, with those, she'll be cleared up before long. She needs to go back in 10 days' time, to be checked over. (I was asking the vet about her booster jabs today whilst she was in. She's due next month, so, as she hasn't been given antibiotic tablets the vet said they'll do them for her at the same time as the checkup)

My bold

I've always found putting drops in cats' ears even worse - because you always end with some nice, bloody, scratches as well!

Hope she's better soon.
