Why does The Star feel the need to write a story about students going out? They make it sound like the entire city centre holds its breath because people are out having a good time.
Would this have made it as headline news if it wasn't for the events in October? Maybe we should start printing centre page threads each Saturday about how the city is bracing itself for 20 something's drinking in bars and possibly shouting and swearing?

You'd think they'd be printing the number of sales of morning after pills.

Am I the only one here who can see the poverty. These scantily clad girls must be skint. Can't they afford clothes.
If they come round to my house I suppose I could sort them an oversized t shirt to try and stop them freezing to death.

i wouldn't worry - give it ten years, if they are still drinking in discount chain bars in city centres, they will look like the rest of the regulars , and i am sure they will have developed a warming layer of blubber to keep the cold out.

I saw a girl on Sunday morning trudging through the snow wearing PJs, slippers (or ugg boots as they call them) with a ratty blanket around her shoulders.
Also saw two blokes out in PJs later on in the day.
So I don't think they keep the odd behaviour just for carnage!

On Saturday night I saw...
That guy from Little Britain (only gay in the village or something - I don't watch it)
Superman
Batman
Cavepeople (lots of)
And lots of women wearing very little.
I also saw two fights, someone being sick, and someone in an argument with the police on Division St.
None of this was carnage related. Didn't make the news though.

Shock, horror. Young people act irresponsibly, especially when they are away from the watchful eyes of their parents. Next News story - "One legged ducks swim in circles."

Is that like haggis? They run round mountains in a circle because they've got shorter legs on one side apparently...

If think that it's more like the rhetorical question - Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?

My point exactly. I think The Star is intent on turning the Sheffield population against its students. There are far more aggressive idiots about on West St on a Saturday night after a football match than on a student night but the newspaper doesn't like to let known facts get in the way of a good rant about students!

No they won't.
Most will be in good jobs with responsibilities and the student binge drinking days will be behind them.

Ha i doubt it. A few will, the rest with media studies degrees and other pointless bits of paper will be on the counters in Tesco.

And some of those idiots don't even have the excuse of being young, and living away from home for the first time. In fact, some of them have never left home. And, students are normally only students for three or four years, some hooligans are hooligans for decades.

To avoid embarrassing yourself, you might want to write that as a proper English sentence.
