Now, bear with me on this one.. I don't know if it's been done before or if it's something new but I couldn't sleep the other night and got thinking... if I passed away now and never had the chance to talk to the people I really wanted to and say what I really felt for i.e family, friends etc.. Or if you're one of those people who can't say 'I love you' very easily, they would never know what they meant to me.

So, why not write a text message saying everything I wanted to say to those dearest to me and keep it in my 'Drafts' that way, I could update it anytime I wanted.. if the inevitable happened and my phone was passed onto my next of kin, they could read my LAL message and be comforted by the knowledge that I had placed my deepest feelings for them next to me..

It would be like the text message you always wanted everyone to read but never actually sent.

I know I'll get lots of sarcastic replies now but if you think about it, it's a sound idea... you never know if it caught on, everyone would have an LAL text message in their drafts and you might be in more peoples thoughts than you thought.. if you catch my drift???

Why not just send it when you're alive?

Thats the thing, if you're not one of those people who can freely express yourself or are shy, it's a good way to let those you love know what they really meant to you after you're gone.

I know it's abit grim but it's just an idea.

Very good idea. I have several hand written letters bundled together in a box for such occasion. They are addressed to certain people within in my life, mainly my mother and a few close friends.

I thought about that too - you see nowadays ( the digital age ) most people don't have time to write letters and almost everybody has a mobile phone and sends texts...
