I have a series of videos on my computer and I want to put them into my iTunes and later onto my iPod, but if I try to change the default program that they open in too iTunes, it never seems to work and nothing comes up in iTunes. On the computer I watch them in Windows Media Player. I think that I'm going to have to change the file type; but I have no idea how to and if it costs anything then I'm not bothered about changing them. My computer is Windows 7. Any help? Please and thank you's

What format is the video you are trying to play? iTunes has the ability to convert some video files to the correct format for iPods.
Here is a link to their tutorial on how to do it.

XviD-FQM - If that's even a format. That's what it says at the end of the name.

Well just give the converter built into iTunes a try and it should work fine.

Theres one out there called Videora and Xilisoft. I believe they are both free...they convert your videos to mp4 format, and also make them smaller so you can fit them on your ipod. Try a quick google search for 'videora ipod converter' and you should yield some free results. Worth a crack eh, good luck
